Welcome Assistant £12.71/hr

Zero-hour contract, Tri-Campus

As a Welcome Assistant, you'll be the first point of contact for everyone entering the Students' Union. Every day will be different — you'll answer questions, help students navigate our services, support the Information & Advice team, and keep our community spaces thriving and welcoming.

Retail Assistant (Clifton, City and Brackenhurst) £12.71/hr

Zero-hour contract, Tri-Campus, Hours: Flexible (Term-Time)

Looking for a flexible job around your studies? Join our Retail Team and gain valuable customer service experience in a friendly, fast-paced environment.

What you'll do:

  • Deliver great customer service
  • Operate the till and handle payments
  • Restock shelves and maintain displays
  • Help with deliveries and stock checks
  • Keep the store clean and safe
  • Undertake basic food preparation and maintain the hot food-to-go offer

We're looking for:

  • Friendly, reliable team players
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexibility and attention to detail

Eligibility:

  • Must be a current Nottingham Trent University student in September 2026
  • Must be available to work throughout the 2026/27 academic year

School Officer £12.71/hr

Annualised hours, 186 hours across the 2026 – 2027 academic year

Are you passionate about improving the student experience in your school? As a School Officer, you will be a vital part of representing students in your school, making sure that their voices are heard. You'll work closely alongside NTSU and NTU staff and student representatives to advocate for an improved experience, and help shape the student journey for future cohorts.

As part of a team of 14 School Officers, you'll have the ability to have an impact across the University, whilst also individually making changes that are specific to your school.

This role is only eligible to students who will be undergraduates for the academic year 2026 - 2027. We will be recruiting one UG School Officer per academic school. The role is for a fixed term during the 2026 – 2027 academic year, amounting to approximately 186 hours across this time, to be mainly worked during term time. This will be around 6 hours per week.

You will be provided with all the required on-the-job training.
